Woburn Safari Park is a popular leisure attraction in the East of England. This VIP is the Education Officer for the park. Their job involves delivering training to students that visit the park. They create workshops on various subjects for students to participate in, which help to develop student’s knowledge of the Leisure Industry.
General Job Description for an Education Officer
The role of an Education Officer varies depending on the type of organisation they are employed by.
The work revolves around marketing the service of the organisation they work for, which could include visiting schools or businesses and community groups, giving talks, leading tours and producing educational resources.

Pay:
- Entry £16,000
- £17,000 - £25,000 with 10-15 years experience
- £40,000 or more with 15 years+ experience in a large organisation

Hours:
- Up to 40 hours a week Monday – Friday
Environment:
- Office based
- Some time may be spent travelling to local Schools and community groups
Qualifications:
- These positions are normally only open to graduates
- A degree in Teaching is preferred
- Degree courses require five GCSE’s grades A-C and two A-Levels
Training:
- On-the-job training can include practical skills and educational issues
