Recruitment Consultants help businesses and organisations find staff to fill job vacancies. They work with the employers, looking at their staffing requirements and helping them to find suitable applicants for the positions. They also work with members of the public, helping them to find job vacancies. These vacancies may be permanent or temporary.
Employers pay a fee to the Recruitment Agency if they decide to employ on of the candidates the agency has put forward.
A Recruitment Consultant’s responsibilities may include; cold calling to businesses, headhunting, interviewing potential candidates, and negotiating fees.

Pay:
- Commission and OTE (on target earnings) are common
- Entry £14,000
- £25,000 - £35,000 with experience

Hours:
- Typically 9-5 Monday to Friday
- Some consultancies are open Saturdays

Qualifications:

- Most degree courses require five GCSE passes grades A-C and two A-Levels
