Managing Directors are responsible for the management of a business or organisation. They are often the founder or majority shareholder of the business.

Managing Directors, also known as Company Directors will usually have a team of employees beneath them helping them to run the business. Their responsibilities may include appointing senior staff, deciding on the future of the business, ensuring that the business meets its financial targets, providing leadership and vision.

Pay:

Qualifications:

• Most degree courses require five GCSE passes grades A-C and two A-Levels
• Progression normally comes from experience at a manager level

Training:

• Degree and HND courses last 3-4 years
• Several years of experience in management is required
• Courses are widely available for skills and knowledge development
